Rainwater regime monitoring and early warning is an important part of the flood prevention work. There are many small reservoirs in Lu'an City and they are widely distributed, making rainwater regime forecasting difficult. According to the provincial government's annual target management performance assessment requirements, all localities need to achieve full coverage of automatic rainwater regime monitoring and reporting of small reservoirs by the end of 2020. The Municipal Water Conservancy Bureau actively sought investment from higher authorities, and implemented 940 small reservoirs rainwater regime automatic forecasting projects, with a total investment of 140 million yuan, accounting for 25.8% of the province's construction tasks. As of December 28, all the construction sites have been completed and put online, and unified access to the provincial hydrological information platform, to realize the automatic monitoring, network transmission, information sharing, and directional early warning of the city’s small reservoirs. This provides accurate and timely on-site information to ensure proper water storage and safe operation of the reservoir, and realizes the informatization of reservoir flood control.
In order to ensure that the project is completed on schedule, the city's Water Resources Bureau attaches great importance to it and takes effective measures to promote this work.
